UK-based mattress e-tailer Eve Sleep has raised $18.3 million in series B funding, which has taken the total funding available for the company to $22 million.

The latest round was led by Woodford Investment Management, while participants included UK-based Octopus Ventures, DN Capital, Channel Four Television Corporation, and Paul Pindar.

The mattress retailer intends to invest the funds to increase its marketing efforts and to expand its presence in European countries, including the Netherlands, Italy, Poland, Austria and Switzerland.

FabAlley, an Indian clothing brand that operates 25 stores in partnership with Future Retail’s Central brand, has raised $2 million in series A funding.

The funding round was led by India Quotient with participation from IAN and social entrepreneur Ranjan Sharma.

FabAlley intends to invest the funds for the addition of 45 more offline stores, new product categories, and the increase of marketing and brand building efforts.

Private real estate company DLC Management Corporation and DRA Advisors have formed a joint venture that will acquire 16 properties suitable for shopping centres, including 15 in New York and one in Alabama.

The new properties will add a space of 4.85 million square feet to DLC’s portfolio, increasing its ownership by 26% to 21.7 million square feet and portfolio value by 17% to $2.7 billion.

BrandLoyalty, the European business of LoyaltyOne, and US-based grocery retailer Lowes Foods have signed an agreement, as part of which BrandLoyalty will drive a promotional campaign for 75 stores of the grocery retailer.

Lowes customers will be issued one stamp for every $10 spent at the stores, which can be redeemed for VIVO kitchen equipment purchase including knives, knife blocks and cutting boards.

The stores are located in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia and the promotion will run until 26 February 2017.
