The Mall of the Millennium is a comprehensive and contemporary centre for shopping, dining, and entertainment situated in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
It houses more than 350 stores, more than 75 dining venues, state-of-the-art entertainment zones and more.
The mall was developed by India-based mixed-use developer Phoenix Mills (PML), which is also the operator, in partnership with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) and the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC).
The Mall of the Millennium opened its doors to the public in September 2023. With its diverse range of shops, culinary offerings, entertainment facilities and commitment to eco-friendly practices, the Mall of the Millennium is recognised as the largest shopping centre in Pune.
Location
The Mall of the Millennium is strategically situated in the emerging cultural district of Wakad on the western outskirts of Pune, India.
Covering an area of approximately 6.5 hectares, the mall has a gross leasable area (GLA) of 111,483m² (1.19 million ft²).
Design details
The mall’s design reflects a fusion of futuristic elements and contemporary architecture, paying tribute to Pune’s burgeoning technological landscape. Its intuitive layout facilitates effortless navigation, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
Distinctive spaces such as open-plan restaurants and the Fan Park, a specialised performance area, distinguish the mall from its counterparts.
The feature wall at the Mall of the Millennium is a larger-than-life wall with huge screen displays. Chandeliers of different styles and shapes are also featured throughout the mall to enhance the aesthetics.
The mall is committed to environmental stewardship, with features such as rainwater harvesting systems and an organic waste converter to reduce its environmental footprint.
Retail stores
With more than 350 retail outlets, the selection ranges from international brands to local favourites, catering to a variety of shopper preferences.
The introduction of new brands to the city further elevates the shopping experience. Among the 15 anchor brands present are renowned names such as H&M, Lifestyle, Marks & Spencer, Reliance Trends and Hamley’s.
The mall also features 14 standout brands, including Forever New, Charles and Keith, Swarovski, Nautica and Bugatti.
Other outlets include ten mini-anchor Brands such as Puma, Tanishq, Croma, Skechers and Home 360.
Entertainment facilities
The Mall of the Millennium features a 14-screen IMAX multiplex with seating for 2,200 people.
It also features an engaging arcade gaming zone. The Fountain Plaza features landscaped greenery with captivating art-deco installations. The mall also houses TimeZone, a spacious family entertainment centre, and FunCity, an indoor amusement venue.
Dining experiences
The Mall of the Millennium offers more than 75 dining establishments from upscale dining and local cuisine to relaxed cafés.
Notable coffeehouses such as Starbucks, Blue Tokai Coffee and Thirdwave are present to serve coffee enthusiasts.
The mall also features the Oasis Food Court, one of the largest in the city, and other restaurants led by distinguished chefs and restaurateurs. These include Ishaara, Punjab Grill, Caffe Allora, Café Peter and Crazy Noodles, all offering exceptional dining experiences.
Mall facilities
The Mall of the Millennium offers free Wi-Fi for visitors, pram services for families with babies including babysitting rooms, and reserved parking for expectant mothers.
Wheelchair services are also available along with designated washrooms, parking spaces and golf cart services.
The Mall of the Millennium features convenient multiple entry points, streamlined drop-off areas across three levels and a nine-level parking garage to accommodate visitors’ vehicles.
