Zoku, a B2B software company, has introduced its Advanced Omnicommerce platform for the retail sector.

This cloud-based integrated system facilitates the integration of Zoku's NetSuite Certified (Built for NetSuite) Point of Sale, Warehouse and Inventory Management systems with Oracle NetSuite and Shopify, promising to simplify retail operations.

Zoku CEO George Makriyiannis noted: "Following the success of our soft launch, retailers and their customers globally can now benefit from the best of both worlds.

“The Advanced Omnicommerce platform is a combined front-to-back-end solution without silos and with powerful sales channels powered by NetSuite's financial, inventory management, procurement and customer management modules."

Key platform features

The Advanced Omnicommerce platform offers several noteworthy features, including:

  1. Comprehensive Loyalty Module: Retailers can establish loyalty programs for in-store and online purchases, providing customers with rewards and redemption options.
  2. Gift Card Capability: The platform enables retailers to issue gift cards, both in-store and online, enhancing flexibility for customers.
  3. Real-time Inventory Management: Retailers gain access to real-time inventory data and the ability to fulfil orders for online and in-store customers from any location.
  4. Order Management Automation: The platform automates the entire order management process, including order entry, processing, fulfilment, shipping and tracking.
  5. Enhanced Customer Management: Retailers can efficiently manage customer interactions across all channels, offering a unified view of customer data.
  6. Real-time Reporting and Analytics: Retailers can leverage real-time reporting and analytics to make informed decisions.
  7. Marketing Automation: The platform supports marketing automation across multiple channels such as email, social media and mobile apps.

Global availability

The solution is now globally available and compatible with Shopify and Shopify Plus as the primary e-commerce channels. Additionally, it is currently undergoing controlled deployment with Adobe Commerce, Magento Open Source and WooCommerce.

Makriyiannis emphasized the potential benefits for retailers, stating: "By combining the power of the leading cloud ERP and eCommerce platforms and Zoku's apps, retailers of all sizes can achieve gains in productivity and consumer experience.

“We are addressing process inefficiencies and software compatibility issues to enable retailers to focus on their customers and business growth."

Zoku says its Advanced Omnicommerce platform aims to streamline retail operations through system integration and provide retailers with tools to enhance their operations and customer experiences.

Luxury goods, digitalization, and personalization identified as key drivers of the duty-free retail market

Per GlobalData, the global duty-free market retailing market was valued at $49 billion in 2022, its highest level ever as it bounced back from the pandemic impact, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of more than 28% during the period 2020-2026, driven by government initiatives, rising passenger numbers, major global events (for instance global sporting tournaments) and the renewed popularity of cruise trips. Infrastructure investments will also play an important role, particularly airport expansion and space refurbishment, and investments in arrivals duty-free formats.
