SPAR Switzerland, part of the SPAR Group Southern Africa, has announced the re-opening of a modernised express forecourt store in Dierikon in the Lucerne canton of central Switzerland, following a two-month refurbishment.  

The store, managed by independent retailer Francesco Tramontano since autumn 2023, underwent its modernisation initiative starting in spring 2024. 

Strategically placed at an AVIA petrol station on a major transport route, it operates seven days a week, from early morning until late at night, providing a convenient shopping experience and a wide range of products.

A self-service car wash is available for customers on the move. 

The self-service Bean Tree Bistro has a seating area where customers can enjoy premium Italian Lavazza Caffè and a variety of snacks.  

The store offers chilled and non-chilled beverages, fresh croissants, bread rolls and other baked goods.

The SPAR Express Dierikon also offers fresh flowers, including at weekends.

In March 2024, SPAR Switzerland expanded its retail footprint with the opening of a new SPAR Express store and the renovation of two existing stores.  

In the same month, the retailer partnered with AVIA to open the first autonomous 24/7 SPAR Express forecourt store in Zurich.
