Consumer electronics company Samsung has expanded its retail presence in India with the opening of a new premium experience store in Mohali, Punjab.
The 1,505ft² store will be a one-stop solution for consumer needs around sales and customer service.
Located in the CP67 mall on International Airport Road, it will offer a connected device ecosystem, Samsung SmartThings and other engaging activities, along with immersive zones for Samsung products including smartphones and laptops, and the Samsung SmartThings ecosystem.
The Mohali store aims to be a hub for the Learn @ Samsung programme, targeting Gen Z and millennial consumers with workshops on AI education and local cultural events.
Workshops will cover topics such as productivity, doodling, photography and fitness.
Samsung India D2C [direct to consumer] business vice-president Sumit Walia said: “Witnessing an exhilarating response from consumers in Chandigarh and adjoining markets, we are optimistic that our Mohali store will captivate shoppers just as much.
“The new store allows consumers to enjoy a holistic product and services experience. There will also be Galaxy workshops conducted under the larger Learn @ Samsung programme to drive AI education.”
Customers visiting the new store can benefit from loyalty points on transactions above Rs15,000 ($178) and special offers such as a Galaxy Fit3 at Rs1,999 with select Galaxy devices.
Additional incentives include up to 22.5% cashback at leading banks, student discounts and ecosystem benefits worth up to Rs21,000 on select products.
The store also introduces a "phygital" experience through Samsung’s Store+ platform, allowing customers to browse more than 1,200 products online or in-store.
Samsung Finance+ and Samsung Care+ plans are available for financing and protecting devices.
The store offers after-sales service for smartphones and the option to book home service calls for all consumer electronics.
In April 2023, Samsung announced its plan to open 15 new premium experience stores across India by the end of that year.
