Primark, the popular budget fashion retailer, announced a significant expansion of its Click + Collect service across Great Britain.
Following a successful 18-month trial in 57 stores, Primark plans to roll out the service to all 184 stores in England, Scotland, and Wales by the end of 2025.
This expansion aims to provide greater convenience to customers by allowing them to shop online and pick up their purchases at their nearest Primark store.
The Click-and-Collect service will also offer a wider selection of products beyond the current focus on women's and children's clothing and accessories. Men's clothing and selected home and lifestyle items will be added to the online offering in a phased approach.
The rollout will occur in stages, with the initial wave of new Click + Collectstores launching later this year. Specific locations will be announced closer to the launch date.
Primark said the decision to expand nationally follows a positive trial period that began in November 2022 with 25 stores in Northwest England, North Wales, and Yorkshire. The service was further extended to stores in and around London in Autumn 2023.
“Our trial of Click + Collect over the last 18 months has been about understanding how we can offer our customers greater convenience to shop with us wherever they are, but in a way that complements our business and our stores,” said Paul Marchant, Chief Executive at Primark.
“We’re now confident that we’ve found a model that can do both and support us with our plans to grow the business. The feedback from our customers has been positive as they really value the convenience our service offers and we’re also seeing it’s reaching new customers too.”
This expansion aligns with Primark's commitment to customer satisfaction and its ongoing investment in the UK market. The company celebrates its 50th anniversary on the British High Street this year and has committed over £100m to its UK stores.
