American fashion retailer Nordstrom is expanding the presence of its off-price retail division, Nordstrom Rack, with a new store in Apple Valley, Minnesota, US.
Expected to open in spring next year, the 30,000ft² store will be located in Fischer Marketplace, a shopping centre that includes retailers such as Ulta Beauty, Fresh Thyme and Michaels.
The marketplace, situated off County Road 42 and Galaxie Avenue, is managed by Cushman & Wakefield.
Nordstrom Rack supports Nordstrom's Closer to You strategy, which aims to provide a more interconnected and convenient experience across its physical locations and digital platforms.
The division offers significant discounts on apparel, accessories, home, shoes and beauty, with savings of up to 70%.
According to Nordstrom Rack president Gemma Lionello, the new store will offer a range of Nordstrom Rack’s services, including an easy returns facility and online order pick-up availability from Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com.
Lionello added: “We look forward to being a part of the Apple Valley community and serving our customers with an amazing offering of great brands at great prices.
“We are excited to grow our footprint in the Minneapolis market and introduce new customers to the Nordstrom experience.”
The new Apple Valley store will increase Nordstrom's presence in Minnesota, where it currently operates two Nordstrom and four Nordstrom Rack stores.
The company aims to generate 750 jobs statewide, contributing to the region’s economy.
In October 2023, Nordstrom announced plans to launch a new 25,000ft² Nordstrom Rack store in San Antonio, Texas, to further expand the retailer’s network in the state.
