Supermarket giant Morrisons has officially opened its doors to a brand-new, significantly larger store in Bishopbriggs, Scotland, UK.

Located on Kirkintilloch Road, the new location replaces the previous Morrisons on the same site, offering a wider product selection, expanded fresh food options, and a focus on in-store food preparation.

The new Bishopbriggs store boasts a footprint 6,000ft² larger than its predecessor.

This allows for a curated selection of Morrisons own-brand and popular branded products, alongside a dedicated home and leisure section, a broader range of clothing from the supermarket's Nutmeg line, and a 100-seater café.

A key highlight of the new store is the introduction of the 'Market Kitchen' concept.

Here, a team of in-store chefs will create fresh, made-to-order meals using seasonal ingredients.

Complementing the Market Kitchen is a new Morrisons Cafe, offering classic meals at affordable prices.

The café also features the popular 'Kids Eat Free' offer, where one child under 16 receives a free meal with the purchase of an adult main course exceeding £5 ($6.41).

“We know the residents of Bishopbriggs have been eagerly anticipating the reopening of this new store," said Paige O'Donnell, Morrisons Bishopbriggs store manager.

"This week, they get a brand-new Morrisons store with skilled food making at the heart of it and plenty of useful services. We hope customers will love this new store and we look forward to welcoming them.”

The new Bishopbriggs store also brings additional features, including the return of an in-store pharmacy, the 'Morrisons The Best' range offering premium products at competitive prices, a pizza oven for hot, fresh pizzas on the go, and a wider selection of free-from products.

With this expansion, Morrisons strengthens its presence in Bishopbriggs, offering residents a more convenient and comprehensive grocery shopping experience.
