Home improvement retailer Lowe's has unveiled the Lowe's Digital Home Platform, a new service to assist homeowners in managing their properties more efficiently.

The platform is exclusively available to MyLowe's Rewards members and provides free, personalised home maintenance support, including access to product manuals, warranty information, maintenance tips and how-to guides via mobile devices.

The initial phase of the platform focuses on home appliances, with plans to expand to other home maintenance areas.

Lowe's senior vice-president and chief marketing officer Jen Wilson stated: "With our new digital home platform, we're now making it easier to manage and maintain your home's maintenance needs, starting with appliances.

"Lowe's is all about being a helpful partner and through the digital home platform, we can serve up the exact filter customers need for their refrigerator at the time it needs replacing."

For customers who have purchased major appliances through Lowe's in the past five years, these items will automatically be added to their MyLowe's Rewards profile.

The platform allows members to add additional appliances manually or through a search function.

Lowe's then displays all available information about these appliances.

The current features of the digital platform include easy storage and access to product information, shopping for compatible appliance parts, maintenance reminders and educational content such as articles and tutorial videos.

The MyLowe's Rewards programme, launched in spring 2024, offers members points towards MyLowe's Money, exclusive offers, free shipping for Silver Key status members, free gifts and special deals.

Developed by Lowe's Innovation Labs, the platform is part of a broader initiative to provide customers with a comprehensive digital twin of their homes.

Lowe's technology senior vice-president Chandhu Nair said: "The Lowe's Digital Home Platform is another way we are delivering on our Total Home Strategy, enabling a total home solution for every need in the home. We are excited to explore how this technology can help personalise the home improvement experience for our customers."

The Lowe's Digital Home Platform joins applications from Lowe's Innovation Labs such as Lowe's Style Studio and Measure Your Space.

It is accessible online via the MyLowe's Rewards member dashboard on Lowes.com.

Based in Mooresville, North Carolina, Lowe's operates more than 1,700 home improvement stores and has approximately 300,000 employees.

In August 2024, the retailer boosted its advertising capabilities with a significant upgrade to its media network.
