Thai retail chain Lotus’s has been awarded with the Most User-Friendly Retail Brand in Thailand at the international 2023 Global Brand Awards.
Hosted by UK-based Global Brands Magazine (GBM), the awards honour worldwide brands that distinguish themselves across diverse industries.
GBM evaluated criteria such as customer service, technology integration, community engagement, innovative solutions and environmental considerations.
Lotus’s customer executive director Vorawan Phianlikhitwong stated: “We are privileged to have earned this esteemed accolade, as Lotus's embarks on its 30th year of serving customers. This recognition adds a significant milestone to better serving our customers every day."
GBM director Jay Reddy added: “With intuitive design, seamless online experience and exceptional customer service, Lotus’s sets a new standard for retail excellence.”
Lotus’s operates in Malaysia and Thailand, and was founded in 1994 by the Thai conglomerate Charoen Pokphand (CP) Group. In 1998, British supermarket chain Tesco acquired a stake in the Lotus Supercenter chain to form Tesco Lotus.
In 2020, Tesco sold its stake back to CP Group, which GlobalData analysis anticipated would hurt its long-term growth prospects outside Europe.
The retailer is now known as Lotus’s and operates more than 2000 stores across Thailand.
