IKEA Canada, a part of IKEA store operator Ingka Group, has opened a new small format store in Scarborough Town Centre, Toronto.
The 7,489m² store features IKEA’s traditional one-way flow layout, two entrances/exits and check-out lanes.
IKEA Scarborough Town Centre houses more than 2,500 cash-and-carry products and features digital tools throughout.
Shoppers will also have access to convenient services, including assembly, returns, home delivery and a dedicated Planning Hub.
In addition, the store offers home delivery and pick-up options for larger furniture.
Customers can pick up furniture at any pick-up location across the city or at the IKEA Pick-up Point in the store.
Besides furniture, the store will serve contemporary and classic Swedish dishes such as meatballs, veggie dogs and the much-loved frozen yoghurt.
IKEA Scarborough Town Centre is the retailer's 16th store in Canada and its second small-format furniture store.
The store will open from 10AM to 9PM on Monday – Saturday and from 11AM – 7PM on Sundays.
IKEA Canada CEO and chief sustainability officer Selwyn Crittendon said: "The opening of the IKEA Scarborough Town Centre store brings us closer to where we want to be – more accessible to our customers, more convenient and truly omnichannel.
"All of us at IKEA Canada are energized and proud to open our second small-format store, designed to meet the needs and dreams of the Scarborough community and beyond."
