Galeries Lafayette UAE, a subsidiary of French Department Stores, has partnered with Canadian fintech company Nuvei to enhance its e-commerce payments.
The collaboration will enhance the payment capabilities of the French department store, which is situated in Dubai Mall in the United Arab Emirates city. The store provides same-day delivery within the UAE, and also returns.
The partnership aims to facilitate Galeries Lafayette UAE’s expansion into global markets while driving better authorisation rates.
Nuvei is employing its smart routing capabilities and integrating 3D Secure (3DS) technology to bolster transaction success rates, ensuring a strong security posture.
Galeries Lafayette UAE's e-commerce platform will receive a detailed analysis on how to improve authorisation rates securely through 3DS technology.
Nuvei’s cPanel, which provides real-time analytics and reporting at the transaction level, will grant exceptional levels of control and insight to the store, as well as enhancing payment optimisation.
In addition to enhancing payment security and success rates, Galeries Lafayette UAE’s e-commerce platform will integrate popular digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, offering customers a more flexible and seamless payment experience.
Nuvei anticipates that the partnership will include additional markets and payment methods beyond wallets and cards.
Galeries Lafayette UAE digital business head Patrick Abchee stated: "We chose Nuvei as our payment partner for its in-depth understanding of our needs as well as its proven track record.
"Nuvei's sophisticated technology and comprehensive analytics will play a crucial role in maximising our transaction authorisation rates, while offering us the ability to expand into new markets easily."
