US footwear and apparel retailer Foot Locker has announced the re-opening of its flagship store on 34th Street in New York City.
Opening on 22 August 2024, the re-imagined store at 112 W 34th Street features the new "Home Court" concept developed in partnership with the NIKE and Jordan brands.
Home Court is a multi-brand basketball shopping destination, offering the latest on-court and off-court products.
It reflects Foot Locker and Nike's shared vision to create a global, multi-brand basketball experience with a customer-centric design.
Foot Locker's Home Court offers 3-D scanning technology for precise product fitting.
Besides Nike and Jordan, the space will showcase products from adidas, Puma, New Balance, Under Armour and others.
The New York store will also debut the Kids Foot Locker concept, offering interactive elements such as experiential activations, digital sizing assistance and basketball destination features.
The opening is part of Foot Locker's Lace Up Plan, which has seen similar re-imagined stores in Wayne, New Jersey, and in Paris.
The company plans to expand the concept further, with upcoming openings in Melbourne and Delhi. The Delhi store is Foot Locker's first in India.
Foot Locker executive vice-president and chief commercial officer Frank Bracken said: "Our newly redesigned store epitomizes Foot Locker's ongoing evolution and stands as a testament to our leadership in sneaker and basketball culture. With the introduction of our new Foot Locker Home Court in partnership with Nike and Jordan, this location sets a new benchmark.
"We take immense pride in bringing this innovative experience to the heart of New York City, a space designed to serve families, inspire sneaker enthusiasts and honour the spirit of basketball culture."
In April 2024, Foot Locker revealed a new retail concept designed to improve shopping experience and customer service.
