UK-based co-operative group Co-op has reopened its store in Charminster Road, Bournemouth, UK.

The store reopens following a six-week programme of refurbishments.

Spanning more than 2,300ft², the store provides fresh and healthy products, everyday essentials and ingredients, fairtrade products, chilled beers and wines, ready meals and more.

Co-op has also added self-service tills to improve the shopping experience, as well as an in-store bakery, a new Costa coffee dispenser and a cash machine.

To improve convenience, Co-op Charminster offers online home delivery of groceries through Deliveroo, Just Eat, Uber Eats and shop.coop.co.uk.

In addition, the retailer extended and enhanced the back-of-shop storage to increase availability and range.

The convenience store opens between 7AM-11PM daily and has generated 18 jobs for local communities.

Co-op Charminster store manager Liam Allen said: “We have had a great response, the whole team is delighted to have had the opportunity to invest in our store to better serve and support our community. It has a great new look and we are enjoying welcoming Members and customers back into their Co-op. Our aim is to operate at the heart of local life.

“We have worked to develop the range, choice and added services to create a compelling offer, locally and conveniently - with a focus on delivering member-value so that the people who own our business, our members, benefit every time they shop.”

Co-op, which is owned by millions of UK consumers, operates more than 2,400 food stores and provides products to more than 5,000 other stores.

Last week, Co-op relaunched its newly transformed store in Thornton Centre in England.
