Beginning in 2024, products under this partnership will be available at speciality and mass retailers across North America, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, Asia-Pacific Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Quiksilver and Element branded skateboards are expected to be available for purchase by autumn 2024.

JAKKS Pacific will also produce roller skates, volleyballs and beach accessories, and a line of toys and other toy-related products that feature Forever 21, Prince, Sports Illustrated, Juicy Couture and Roxy.

Authentic partnership-marketing senior vice-president Matthew Salter stated: “We are pleased to partner with JAKKS Pacific, a renowned leader in the toy and consumer products industry, to expand these key brands into new categories through fresh product offerings.

“We look forward to exploring new opportunities with JAKKS Pacific as we continue to activate our lifestyle brand portfolio in new innovative ways.”

Headquartered in Santa Monica, California, JAKKS Pacific is a manufacturer of toy and consumer products.

JAKKS Pacific chairman and CEO Stephen Berman stated: “We are thrilled to announce this new partnership with Authentic and the creative process for developing a robust line for these incredible properties is already in progress.”

Authentic also recently partnered with online fashion and lifestyle retailer Shein on a co-branded Forever 21 brand collection.

Traditional AI is here to stay in the retail and apparel space

Initially, retailers used AI for basic tasks, including inventory management and demand forecasting. However, its usage has now become more prevalent in other aspects such as personalized marketing, customer service, pricing optimization, and supply chain management. With the rise of ecommerce and the increasing importance of data-driven decision-making, AI adoption in retail and apparel has accelerated. The industry now relies on AI to enhance the shopping experience, optimize business operations, and gain an overall competitive edge.
