Nordic design and lifestyle brand ARKET opened a flagship store in Milan, Italy, on 2 July 2024.  

Spanning 1,000m², the store occupies the ground and second floors of the historic Medelan building on Piazza Cordusio, which opened in 1902, and marks the brand's first physical presence in Italy. 

The new ARKET store in Milan features the brand's full range of products, including ready-to-wear and accessories for women, men and children, body care and interior design items.  

The Milan flagship store also includes the ARKET CAFÉ, led by Swedish chef Martin Berg, which serves a seasonal vegetarian menu, pastries and speciality coffee.  

The café introduces a new signature dish: non-dairy vanilla ice cream with seasonal sauces and toppings. 

ARKET managing director Pernilla Wohlfahrt said: “We are beyond excited to finally be opening our very first ARKET location in Italy with this beautiful flagship store in the centre of Milan. We look forward to meeting our design-savvy local customers in person and inviting them to explore our vision of a more beautiful everyday life.” 

The store's design incorporates ARKET’s signature monochrome palette, natural materials such as solid oak, and lush greenery.  

Inspired by Italian and Milanese architecture, a unique flooring composition features red and white marble alongside custom-made terrazzo and wood, creating varied room structures to enhance the customer experience. 

ARKET's philosophy is deeply rooted in the Nordic modernist movement, aiming to offer a modern-day market of diverse, carefully made and artfully curated items.
