Convenience store chain 7-Eleven Hawai'i has unveiled its new mobile app, designed to optimise the shopping experience for its customers.
The app, which includes mobile checkout, the 7Rewards loyalty programme and 7NOW delivery service, is available across all 67 stores in O'ahu, Maui, Kaua'i and Hawai'i Island.
While 7Rewards is accessible at all locations, the availability of 7NOW and mobile checkout features will depend on store locations.
The mobile checkout feature will improve the customer experience by allowing shoppers to bypass traditional lines and pay for their items directly through the app.
The 7Rewards programme, which is the exclusive loyalty programme from 7-Eleven, offers points for every purchase, which can be redeemed for a range of rewards.
To encourage downloads, the retailer offers new users a welcome bonus of 500 points.
The app also introduces 7NOW, a service with mobile pickup and delivery options.
This feature enables customers to order products, including local favourites such as Spam Musubi [a sushi-style snack] and bento meals, and have them delivered to their doorstep for additional convenience.
7-Eleven Hawai'i CEO Greg Hanna said: "We are thrilled to introduce our new app, which brings the best of 7-Eleven directly to our customers in Hawai'i. With 7Rewards, customers can easily earn points and unlock exclusive benefits.
“The 7NOW feature allows them to access our products with just a few taps, while mobile checkout lets them skip the line for a faster and more convenient shopping experience. This launch is a major step in our commitment to serving our Hawai'i communities with quality and convenience."
In February 2024, Seven & i Holdings, owner of 7-Eleven, trialled a new store format in Chiba prefecture, Japan.
