Convenience store Yesway has acquired 26 Fresh Start stores in three US states.

The move will expand Yesway’s portfolio to 150 stores and increase its footprint in South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska.

Of the total Fresh Start stores, 22 are located in South Dakota, including Belle Fourche, Box Elder, Custer, Fort Pierre, Hot Springs, and Kadoka. Wyoming locations include Lusk, Newcastle and Sundance, while its store in Nebraska is located in Alliance.

“The move will expand Yesway’s portfolio to 150 stores and increase its footprint in South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska.”

This latest deal follows two acquisitions by Yesway in this quarter, including 11 Pick-A-Dilly convenience stores in Missouri and 13 Chisum Travel Center and Fast Stop convenience stores in Texas.

Yesway acquisitions director Thomas W. Brown said: “We are extremely pleased to have achieved this milestone and to be bringing the Yesway brand to three new states.

“I am very proud of our acquisitions, due diligence, and on-boarding teams. Their collective hard work and dedication have been critical to our being able to grow the portfolio so quickly.

“They all thrive in this rapid pace environment and are doing a fantastic job. It is a truly exciting time for all of us.”

The acquisition of Fresh Start enables Yesway to own and operate convenience stores and truck stops in eight states, including Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Nebraska. The company also plans to acquire, improve and rebrand 500 convenience stores across the US over the next several years.
