Russian food retailer X5 Retail Group’s parcel delivery technology platform X5 Omni has agreed to open pharmacy pick-up points at Pyaterochka stores.
As part of an agreement with Medexport – Severnaya Zvezda and Zdravservis, 950 pharmacy pick-up points are planned to open at Pyaterochka stores by the end of 2025.
Medexport – Severnaya Zvezda and Zdravservis will receive long-term lease agreements from X5 Omni to open pharmacy counters to allow the pick-up of packages.
The partners will use X5’s logistics network to deliver the pharmacy orders to pick-up points through its sorting centres.

Leveraging X5 retail stores and logistics capabilities, X5 Omni is planning to establish package delivery network across the country.
The platform has established pick-up points at 2,400 stores, which deliver about 7,000 parcels every day. The platform aims to employ X5’s logistics infrastructure for deliveries from small-scale regional producers and online stores.
The company also plans to make parcel delivery services available at several X5 stores by the end of next year.
The food retailer signed a long-term agreement, in April this year, with wholesale supplier RITM-2000 to open 85 stores across central Russia.
