UK-based retailer Wilko has partnered with JDA Software to implement JDA’s SaaS technology to drive its category management strategy.
The solutions adopted by the high-street chain includes JDA Space Planning, JDA Floor Planning and JDA Category Knowledge Base.
These have been rolled out across Wilko’s more than 400 stores to help manage tasks, such as generating planograms, creating accurate macro and micro space allocations for 5,000 items in its stores.
Wilko commercial execution director Alison Hands said: “This long-term strategy was designed to allow us to grow by sorting the needs of Wilko families and is already delivering real benefit at Wilko, helping us drive customer satisfaction and value.

As we move into part two of our strategy with JDA, we’re confident we have a powerful category management solution to deliver continued value to our hard-working customers.”
The deployment of the broad range of JDA SaaS-based will also allow Wilko to reduce oversized stores, remove slower-moving products and focus on providing value-added activities for shoppers.
The partnership between JDA and Wilko dates back to more than a decade. The retailer selected JDA for category management last year.
