WHP Global and global lifestyle brand Guess? have reached a new licensing agreement with Signal Brands to boost the development of New York-based fashion brand rag & bone’s handbags and small leather products line.

Signal Brands, already a licensee for Guess?, will now work on expanding this product category for rag & bone.

The licensing deal will run for five years and the first collection from the collaboration is set to debut in spring 2025.

The new line will be available across rag & bone boutiques worldwide, on their official website (rag-bone.com), and through select premium retailers in North America such as Nordstrom and Bloomingdales. In February 2024, Guess? and WHP Global agreed to jointly acquire rag & bone.

On 2 April 2024, Guess? completed the acquisition of all its operational assets and a 50% stake in its intellectual property assets.

Guess? co-founder and chief creative officer Paul Marciano stated: “Since the acquisition of rag & bone, we believe it is an essential part of the business from which rag & bone will benefit – the expertise, knowledge and skill of the incredible design team that Jason Rimokh and his father Jack have developed over the decades. We are confident that it will be a great addition to the world of rag & bone.”

Signal Brands has more than three decades of experience managing a diverse portfolio of international fashion brands in handbags, luggage and travel accessories.

The company’s established retail partnerships and global distribution capabilities will play a crucial role in supporting rag & bone’s strategic plans for international growth.

Signal Brands CEO Jason Rimokh stated: “We are incredibly excited to bring our expertise to rag & bone’s handbag line. This partnership reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality products that resonate with consumers.

“Signal Brands looks forward to leveraging its extensive industry experience to bring innovative and stylish designs to rag & bone’s handbag collection while continuing to build on the company’s successful partnerships.”
