US retail giant Walmart has announced its latest private brand, bettergoods, which offers a range of exclusive food products.
Joining Walmart’s extensive portfolio of private brands, bettergoods offers 300 items including frozen products, dairy, snacks, beverages, pasta, soups, coffee and chocolate, mostly priced under $5.
Walmart’s experienced product development team collaborated with suppliers internationally to source the ingredients and flavours which are split into three categories.
“Culinary Experiences” spotlights speciality recipes, “Plant-based” contains products featuring green branding and “Made Without” is a range of options without artificial flavours, added sugars or gluten.
Bettergoods marks Walmart’s largest private brand food launch in 20 years and is the fastest food private brand Walmart has brought to market.
The retailer is aiming to stand out from private brands that provide direct alternatives to national brand offerings at a lower price.
