Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has opened a new experiential flagship store in Thane, Maharashtra, India, and announced plans to open over 250 exclusive stores in the country this year.
The new 1800 ft² ‘technologically advanced and innovative experiential’ store in Thane features three different zones, Accessory and the Internet of things (IoT), Gaming and virtual reality (VR) and Photo.
The Accessory and IoT Zone will sell Vivo’s accessories and smart devices.
The Gaming Zone features ‘Ultra Game Mode’ and is designed to enable users to customise each individual game personally.
VR and Photo Zone will showcase various artificial intelligence (AI) and photography features on Vivo devices.
The company is planning to establish a network of 600 stores this year.

In addition, the company has plans to open 20 more experiential flagship stores in metros and state capitals.
Vivo will provide 10% assured cashback on all bank credit cards, debit cards and EMI on all phones above Rs10,000 ($140) until 29 February as part of the store’s promotional strategy.
