Hypermarket chain SPAR International has granted exclusive rights to discount store chain Tokmanni to operate its brand in Finland.
The licence agreement, announced on 14 January 2025, positions Tokmanni to capitalise on SPAR’s extensive expertise and presence in grocery retailing.
The alliance combines Tokmanni’s deep insights into Finnish consumer preferences with SPAR International’s global reach, capabilities and customer-oriented concepts.
Tokmanni is poised to refine the SPAR concept for the Finnish consumer base, enhancing its product range with a broad selection of SPAR offerings.
The company’s fresh food operations will be aligned to reflect the SPAR identity and concept.

Tokmanni plans to integrate the SPAR concept into all 20 of its existing fresh food departments.
The inaugural SPAR-branded section is set to launch this summer with additional openings before the end of 2025.
