Chinese online marketplace Temu has reached a collaborative agreement with PlentyONE, e-commerce enterprise resource planning solutions provider, to help sellers expand smoothly into global markets.

The partnership leverages Temu’s approach to simplifying supply chain processes and PlentyONE’s experience in digital systems integration.

With the implementation of PlentyONE’s marketplace infrastructure, Temu’s vendors can now improve their efficiency across operational facets such as inventory management and order fulfilment, while exploring new avenues for global market expansion.

Cendors within the PlentyONE network are gaining access to Temu’s strategies in marketing and logistics. They stand to gain from cost advantages due to more efficient supply chains and are poised to broaden their international reach with Temu’s backing.

PlentyONE partnership vice-president Adam Lucas stated: “PlentyONE is excited to collaborate with Temu, empowering our sellers to access one of the world’s fastest-growing marketplaces – an innovative platform that is reshaping e-commerce.”

PlentyONE has a workforce of more than 300 and a user base of 55,000, connecting brands, manufacturers and retailers to global marketplaces.

A Temu spokesperson stated: “We are pleased to partner with PlentyONE to enable sellers to optimise their e-commerce operations and expand their global footprint. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to empowering merchants with the resources they need to achieve long-term success.”

Temu, which launched in September 2022, has reached more than 90 markets around the globe, offering an extensive range of products at competitive prices.

From early 2024, the company has begun inviting local sellers from countries including the US and several European nations to join its platform.

This initiative supports local enterprises and aligns with the company’s expectation that a significant portion of its European sales will derive from this local-to-local model.

Temu envisions these Europe-based sellers eventually leveraging the platform for worldwide sales.

Temu recently joined forces with Eurofins Consumer Product Testing and Eurofins Assurance to bolster its commitment to product integrity.
