Netherlands-based retailer SPAR International has reached a preferred supplier agreement with supply chain and retail planning solutions provider RELEX Solutions.
As the chosen supplier, RELEX will provide various services to the retailer, including pricing, promotion, workforce optimisation and space management. The space management aspect will include floor planning, planogramming, forecasting and replenishing.
All these support services and expertise are now available for Spar country organisations.
The new mutually beneficial agreement will allow Spar to hone its supply chain efficiency and further ensure that the right products are delivered to the stores at the required time. It will also focus on minimising food wastage.
SPAR International operations head Tom Rose said: “RELEX’s state-of-the-art technology enables SPAR country organisations to improve both profitability and sustainability through a more efficient and transparent supply chain, improved availability and service levels, minimised costs, maximised customer satisfaction and notably reduced waste.
“Through this agreement, Spar licensed operations can reap the benefits of a modernised end-to-end supply chain and run the most advanced fresh supply chains within their respective markets. We are continually adding to our preferred supplier network as part of our ongoing service to our Spar country organisations.”
