The retailer also plans to expand the service to 38 additional locations in Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange County, Pasadena, the San Fernando Valley, Thousand Oaks and Los Angeles County’s South Bay beach communities by the end of this month.

To avail the service, customers need to place their orders for home delivery through the Ralphs Grocery Company website.

The platform offers 40,000 products, including perishables, which are categorised and sorted to allow easy viewing and selection for shoppers.

Once the customer selects their products, they choose a preferred delivery time.

The items will then be picked up by an Instacart shopper, who delivers the order within the selected one-hour window.

Founded in 1873, Ralphs currently operates 191 supermarkets.
