Global fashion retailer Primark plans to open its second Virginia outlet at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge.

Set to open on 10 April 2025, the 32,000ft² establishment will offer contemporary fashion pieces, household goods and beauty products.

Primark offers denim from $10 and t-shirts at $4.50, alongside licensed merchandise featuring franchises such as Netflix and Disney.

The store will cater to sports enthusiasts by providing apparel representing local NBA and NFL teams the Washington Wizards and the Washington Commanders.

Primark US president Kevin Tulip stated: “Since Primark opened stores in Maryland and Virginia, just outside the nation’s capital, we’ve seen a strong demand for more of the joy that Primark brings to local shoppers.

“We are gearing up to open our doors at Potomac Mills and are excited to bring a new community of DMV shoppers more of Primark’s unmatched combination of style, quality and affordability, continuing our success in the area.”

Primark is recruiting for both full-time and part-time retail roles.

Base pay for sales associates begins at $15.00 per hour with incremental raises after six months and one year of service.

Primark’s debut in Virginia took place in 2024 with the opening of its Tysons Corner Centre location.

The addition of the Potomac Mills store will mark Primark’s 30th establishment in the US, spreading its reach across 12 states.

Further cementing its commitment to regional growth, Primark has secured another site at the Mall at Prince George’s in Hyattsville, Maryland.

In November 2024, the retailer entered the Texas market with a new store at the La Plaza shopping centre in McAllen.
