Finnish co-operative retailer S Group has expanded its partnership with Pricer by planning to install the latter’s in-store solution across more than 100 additional stores.
This latest round of installations of Pricer’s communication and automation solution will take place in the first half of 2025.
The move is a continuation of a five-year framework agreement established in 2023, and follows the successful installation in 300 stores in 2023/24.
The focus will be on S-market supermarkets and Prisma hypermarkets, expanding beyond grocery departments to include non-grocery areas.
S Group is a customer-owned conglomerate operating 1,000 grocery outlets in Finland, including Alepa, Sale, S-market and the Prisma chains.
S Group groceries senior vice-president Sampo Päällysaho said: “This next phase of our electronic shelf label rollout marks an important milestone in our digital transformation strategy, and we’re excited to continue our successful partnership with Pricer to enhance the in-store experience.”

This technology aims to eliminate manual updates, reduce errors and increase operational efficiency and accuracy.
Pricer added the order value in its fourth-quarter order intake for 2024.
