By GlobalDataPDI Marketing Cloud solutions president and general manager Brandon Logsdon said: “The partnership with Vroom Delivery provides PDI with the opportunity to support c-stores and help them serve their communities during this global crisis.
“With Vroom Delivery’s mobile order and delivery service and our PDI Marketing Cloud platform, convenience retailers gain a much-needed solution to help fight this pandemic and give customers a safe alternative for buying essentials.”
The new features will enable convenience retailers and petroleum wholesalers with a digital, delivery and pickup solution.
It will also connect convenience store personnel and customers with delivery drivers through Cloud-based tools, which also provides visibility throughout the purchase process.
In addition to these, retailers can leverage the solution to compete with online ordering capabilities and preserve the end-to-end solution, which enables delivery of age-restricted products and providing delivery jobs to employees.
Headquartered in Chicago, Vroom Delivery is built by convenience retail operators designed to meet the unique needs of the $654.3bn convenience store industry.
The platform is ideal for PDI’s suite of software applications for the convenience retail and petroleum wholesale industries.
Vroom Delivery CEO John Nelson said: “We’re excited to partner with PDI to quickly bring new capabilities to convenience retailers and their customers.”
