Multichannel retailer Northern Tool + Equipment has expanded its presence in the US with new store openings in Illinois and Oklahoma.
The retailer opened a new store in Bolingbrook at 324 S. Bolingbrook Drive, complementing its four existing stores in Mt. Prospect, Melrose Park, Glendale Heights and O’Fallon.

The store offers professional-grade tools and will generate job opportunities for local communities in the Bolingbrook area.
All Northern Tool + Equipment stores in Illinois will host a joint grand opening event for the new store this weekend.
Northern Tool + Equipment retail stores senior vice-president Joe Apolloni said: “We are thrilled to be opening our fifth store in Illinois. The community of skilled DIYers and tradespeople in the Chicago area has embraced us. This new location is part of an exciting period of expansion for Northern Tool + Equipment.”
The retailer also opened a store in Oklahoma, its third retail location in the state.
Located at 3824 S Broadway, the new store opened on 26 July, with a grand opening set to follow on 12 August.
Besides its product offerings, the new Oklahoma store will create job opportunities for the Edmond community.
Apolloni added: “We’re excited to expand further into the Sooner State with our third retail location. This opening is a big step in our goal of expanding and will allow us to reach more skilled DIYers and tradespeople in the region.”
Northern Tool + Equipment, which is based in Minnesota, supplies more than 100,000 high-quality tools and equipment.
The retailer currently operates more than 130 stores across the US and aims to continue expanding this network in future.
