US retail corporation Wal-Mart Stores is planning to establish a supercentre at Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VII in south Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
After already owning two fulfillment centres in Bethlehem that would boost its e-commerce business, the company now aims at building its first brick-and-mortar store in the city.

The new 158,000ft² store is expected to create approximately 300 new jobs.
The new facility will feature a grocery area, a garden centre, a full-service pharmacy, as well as a wide range of general merchandise.
Wal-Mart Pennsylvania public affairs and government relations director Jason Klipa was quoted by The Morning Call as saying: "We are very grateful to the city of Bethlehem for working with us on this new supercentre.
"We look forward to offering a convenient location for fresh, affordable groceries and merchandise, in addition to providing good-paying jobs."
According to a company spokesperson, Wal-Mart is currently seeking approval process for the supercentre.
Last year, Wal-Mart opened a new 1.2 million square feet facility in the Majestic Bethlehem Centre, as well as a one million square feet facility in Lehigh Valley Industrial Park VII.
