"This is fundamental to delighting our customers and delivering great new digital experiences to the store."

Thomas Pink marketing director Alex Field said: “The Acuitas Digital solution will give us the insight to ensure that we have the right products, in the right place at the right time, all of the time. This is fundamental to delighting our customers and delivering great new digital experiences to the store.

“We will now be able to use big data analytics to improve store efficiency and performance to help our people to spend more time with customers rather than getting tied up in admin tasks. It will bring our digital store strategy to life and will show how it can become a real driver of growth.”

As part of its digital strategy, Thomas Pink has installed the Acuitas Digital IoT solution to enable real-time monitoring of merchandise and customer movement.

The technology will also help to utilise big data analytics to understand customer behaviour and create a base for interactive in-store experiences.

Using the Acuitas Digital IoT solution will also enable the retailer to customise customer service, optimise the store layout, improve employee workflows and reduce operating cost.

Launched last January, the system uses IoT multi-sensors to automatically scan the whole store in real-time, substituting conventional handheld RFID systems, which carries limited value and prone to human errors.

Thomas Pink will utilise the IoT powered video sensors to evaluate customer behaviour and store effectiveness.
