Home appliances retailer Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores has opened a new store in Memphis, Tennessee, the US.

Beside the new Tennessee sore, located at 2858 Poplar Avenue, the retailer has already opened a further 14 this year. 

The firm claims that its store format allows customers in small communities access to a wide variety of products and brands.

The owner of Sears Hometown's store in Memphis James Hipps said: “The Memphis area has a long history with Sears, and we here at Sears Hometown want to ensure that our store strengthens our relationship with the community.

"Our goal is to become a valuable resource by offering a high-level of customer service that reflects our values and commitment to building ties with the local residents."

The new store offers appliance products across brands such as Kenmore, Maytag, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Bosch, Frigidaire, and GE.

It also offers various lawn and garden equipment, craftsman tools, fitness equipment, electronics, and mattresses, as well as Sears services, parts, and installation.

The firm also provides customers the option to order products that are not available in-store. An option to order products online and pick them up in the store without a shipping charge is also offered.

Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores operates 1,123 stores that offer home appliances, lawn and garden equipment, tools, and hardware products, as well as providing services such as home delivery, installation, and extended service contracts.
