US-based company Lamps Plus is set to open its first store in Austin, Texas, at the end of this month.
Located at The Arboretum, 10000 Research Boulevard, the new store will feature a new format highlighting a larger array of room scene displays that would exhibit lighting, furniture and home décor.

This will be the retailer’s 39th store.
The Arboretum is a luxury open-air marketplace handling more than 100,000 visitors and 40 retailers each month.
Lamps Plus chief executive officer Dennis Swanson said: “Our business is thriving and we’re seeing a strong demand to open stores in new regions as customers want to see our designs in-person when possible.
“Austin will be a landmark for a new direction forward to utilise a new format and to reach a diverse audience with high expectations for a multi-channel experience.”
The new store to be opened by the company will be the first to focus on LED technology.
All Lamps Plus stores are currently being upgraded for LED lighting.
The Austin-based store will provide customers with an expanded offering, highlighting the latest energy-efficient technologies.
The store will feature a sizeable in-store design selection and online kiosks that will enable customers to browse the company’s entire inventory for orders to be shipped to their homes.
