Indian fashion retailer Shoppers Stop has successfully implemented JDA Warehouse Management across its four warehouses to achieve its omnichannel vision.
Through the solution, the retailer aims to achieve 20% digitally influenced sales by 2020.
The warehousing system is expected to help the company meet distribution demands in the cities of Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Delhi, where it has warehouses.
Shoppers Stop customer care associate and managing director Govind Shrikhande said: “JDA has been a long-standing partner in our retail journey.
“We believe that the new JDA Warehouse Management solution will play a pivotal role in increasing our operational efficiency in line with our aggressive business growth and omnichannel vision.
“With a one-view of inventory, we will be able to further enhance our customers’ shopping experience.”
Following the implementation, Shoppers Stop has a unified solution with already-deployed JDA Merchandise Management, as well as its own order management system.
The integrated solution is expected to provide automatic allocation for faster outbound processing and delivery.
JDA ASEAN and India sales vice-president Vishal Dhawan said: “We are pleased with the successful deployment of JDA Warehouse Management at Shoppers Stop to support its omnichannel vision, and enable them to not only improve productivity and inventory levels, but also adapt to supply chain changes, with the flexibility and visibility into warehouse operations it needs to succeed.”
JDA has further added that Shoppers Stop will continue to see reduced fulfilment costs and inventory levels while gaining improved inventory accuracy, thereby enhancing its profitability and customer satisfaction levels.
In addition to a network of 80 stores across India, Shoppers Stop has an online shopping store.
Headquartered in Arizona, US, JDA Software Group provides supply chain planning and execution solutions for retailers.
