US-based specialty retailer Destination XL Group (DXLG) has opened its second DXL Men’s Apparel store in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
The new store will provide clothing for men who wear waist sizes 38in and higher, and size XL and up.
The store will offer styles from more than 100 brands and top designers such as Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, Buffalo David Bitton, Nautica, Levi's and Cole Haan.
DXL Men Apparel’s exclusive brands in XL sizes such as Brooks Brothers and Lacoste, as well as private label brands, including Harbor Bay, 28 Degrees, Oak Hill and True Nation will also be available in the new store.
To be operated by DXLG subsidiary DXL Canada, the store features style experts to help its buyers in addition to extended shoe sizes in wider widths.
Destination XL Group president and CEO David Levin said: “The DXL Men's Apparel store was built with the bigger guy in mind and directly addresses needs he's expressed through customer feedback and focus groups.
“Our customers seek choices, value, convenience and a unique shopping experience, which DXL Men's Apparel stores offer. Before DXL Men's Apparel stores, these guys were relegated to shopping at the end of the rack in department stores.
“We saw that bigger guys in Canada were facing these same challenges, and we are now addressing their needs.”
The company currently has operations across the US, Canada and London, UK.
