Supporting a local charity
In a community-oriented initiative, B&M engaged its staff in selecting a local charity to participate in the store’s opening. The chosen charity is the Hinckley Area Foodbank, recognised for its commitment to addressing food insecurity in the community.
Hinckley Area Foodbank’s mission is to provide three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to individuals referred to them during times of crisis.
In the year 2022-2023, they distributed 64,593 emergency meals to 7,177 people, with 23,607 of these meals designated to children under 16. Their ongoing efforts aim to combat poverty and hunger in the UK.
