Fashion retailer Mango has opened a new store in Barcelona, Spain dedicated to Mango Teen, its line for young customers.

The store is at 65 Passeig de Gracia in Barcelona, in the location where the company’s founder, Isak Andic, opened the first Mango store in 1984.

Previously only offering the brand’s Woman line, the building has now been converted to house a new store exclusively for the youth line. This brings all the company’s lines (Woman, Man, Kids, Teen and Home) to the main commercial avenue in Barcelona.

With a 400m² sales area and 15 employees, the store’s Mediterranean-inspired design is centred around natural materials such as ceramics, tuff [rock], wood, marble, esparto grass and leather.

The opening is part of Mango’s 2024 to 2026 strategic plan, created to promote the company’s differential value proposition, its commitment to innovation and sustainability and the promotion of sales through a major expansion of its stores and the growth of all its lines and channels.

Mango Teen launched in 2021. During 2023, Mango Kids and Teen reportedly recorded growth of close to 20% in their turnover and represented 8% of the group’s sales.

Mango is focusing its expansion efforts in the UK and US and plans to open 500 new stores globally by 2026.
