Home improvement retailer Lowe’s is offering customers an Apple Vision Pro-powered experience in three test markets in the US.
Lowe’s Style Studio is purpose-built for Apple Vision Pro’s augmented reality (AR) technology that immerses users in a high-fidelity 3D kitchen environment and enables them to explore their own unique project.
The technology uses Apple Vision Pro’s intuitive input system, controlled by a user’s eyes and hands, to explore preset styles curated by Lowe’s professional designers, and customise hundreds of real-world materials, fixtures and appliances.
Customers can choose from 80bn design combinations, save their style selections, email, text or AirDrop them as a PDF, and then shop them in-store, online or in Lowe’s mobile app.
The pilot will launch in three select stores, kicking off in Lowe’s hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, from 8 June to 12 June 2024. Later in the month, from 22 June to 25 June, the experience will be available at Lowe’s stores in North Bergen, New Jersey, and Sunnyvale, California.
Customers in these pilot markets will be able to access an online booking tool to select the time and date that works best for them, and Lowe’s will also accommodate a limited number of walk-ins.
