Limelight Diamonds, an Indian lab-grown diamond jewellery brand, has expanded its retail footprint with the opening of its first store in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Press Trust of India (PTI) has reported.
The Chennai outlet marks the brand’s 23rd store in the country, signifying a growing interest in lab-grown diamonds.
The new store spans 900ft2 and features a wide selection of solitaire jewelry, such as necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings.
Limelight Diamonds founder and managing director Pooja Sheth Madhavan was quoted by the news agency as saying: “Having received such fantastic customer response for our brand, it brings me great joy and pride to open up our latest store in Chennai.
“The city is a cultural hub that effortlessly blends ancient tradition with modern influences, perfectly complementing Limelight’s vision of combining tradition with modern luxury as we establish our presence here.
“Like all other cities, we hope to garner just as much appreciation for the premium quality, make and designs of our jewellery from our customers here as well.”

By GlobalDataMadhavan noted that the lab-grown diamond industry is witnessing a significant growth trajectory, with a reported 15% to 20% year-on-year increase.
“Awareness of the LGDs has significantly increased and almost every customer is aware that lab diamonds are absolutely real as they are also made of carbon and identical to mined diamonds.”
Madhavan added. The Mumbai-based brand has locations in over 35 cities across India, including Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Jaipur, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Rajkot, and Bangalore. It has also announced plans to open seven more stores by the end of the year.
