US-based Jackson Mitchell Holdings has completed the acquisition of family-owned full-service community supermarket chain Little Giant Farmer’s Market.
The supermarket currently operates five grocery stores across Georgia, including two stores in Newnan and one location in Riverdale, Jonesboro, and Decatur, respectively.
The brand will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jackson Mitchell and will continue to operate under the current corporate structure.
Little Giant Farmer’s Market owner Mickey Dixon will step down from his role.
Dixon said: “I’m very pleased with Jackson taking over this operation. Little Giant has been my family away from family for the last 30 years, and I feel very confident about these great people going forward with our vision.
“I feel that they have the same morals and standards that align with our company values, and that is very important to me.

Mitchell Grocery, the parent company of Jackson Mitchell Holdings, will serve as the primary wholesaler for all five stores.
Jackson Mitchell plans to expand products offered across the stores by adding fresh seafood, bulk foods, and more grab and go options.
It will also add a deli and bakery to all locations, and expand offerings in the two Newnan locations.
The company will also expand the supermarket brand with new locations across the Metro Atlanta area.
