US-based online grocery platform Instacart has added features to its mobile app to help customers save more money when shopping for groceries online.
The updated app features a Deals Tab, which offers daily coupons from retailers and companies.
It also includes the Dollar Store Hub, where customers can browse dollar store deals from more than 13,000 dollar stores, including Dollar Tree and 99 Cents Only Store.
Instacart is also piloting reduced-cost and free delivery services on orders placed more than 24 hours in advance at select markets, as well as offering more savings on Express members using its contactless kerbside pickup service.
The company has expanded its pickup locations to more than 4,500 stores nationwide across 120 grocery partners, including Aldi, Food Lion, Gelson’s and Publix.
Instacart chief operating officer Asha Sharma said: “Giving people more access to food — and more time to enjoy it together — has always been core to our mission.
