Reliance Industries’ retail arm has announced a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs35.45bn ($415.95m) for the fourth quarter (Q4) of the fiscal year 2025 (FY25) – a 29.1% increase year-on-year (YoY), from Rs27.46bn in the same period of FY24. 

Gross revenue of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited for the quarter stood at Rs886.2bn – a 15.7% rise from Rs766.27bn in Q4 FY24.  

The revenue from operations during the quarter was reported at Rs786.22bn, up from Rs676.1bn in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.  

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for Q4 FY25 reached Rs67.11bn – a 14.3% increase from Rs58.71bn in Q4 FY24. 

Reliance Retail opened 1,085 new stores. during the quarter.  

The total number of transactions for the quarter was 361 million, a 16.1% increase YoY.

The company’s focus on enhancing its digital commerce and new commerce channels was evident, with these platforms contributing to 18% of the total revenue. 

For the entire fiscal year of 2025, Reliance Retail reported a PAT of Rs123.88bn, up from Rs111.27bn in FY24.  

The gross revenue for the year was Rs3.31tn, showing growth of 7.9% over the previous year. The company also reported an EBITDA of Rs250.53bn for FY25, an 8.6% increase year-on-year. 

The business continued to grow its store footprint significantly, opening 2,659 stores during the year.  

After store rationalisation, total store count stood at 19,340 with an operating area of 77.4 million ft².  

JioMart, the company’s online platform, enhanced its quick hyperlocal delivery service, benefiting from its extensive store network. 

Reliance Retail Ventures executive director Isha Ambani stated: “Reliance Retail delivered strong growth in revenue and profits, powered by improved efficiencies, innovative formats, a sharper product mix and continued investments in technology and customer experience.  

“We remain focused on shaping the future of retail with agility and purpose.” 

In January 2025, Reliance Retail decided not to pursue investment in or acquisition of the hyperlocal delivery service Dunzo.
