Home furnishings retailer Ikea has opened its new store in Grand Prairie, which is reported to be the company’s second outlet in Dallas-Fort Worth, US.
Located at the intersection of SH 161 and Mayfield Road, the store has 290,000ft² of space and constructed on 30 acres of land.
Ikea Grand Prairie store manager Matt Hunsicker said: “We are proud to serve the Dallas-Fort Worth community with our unique Ikea shopping experience and affordable home furnishing solutions.
“The community has been so welcoming and today’s grand opening reflects that excitement. You can feel the enthusiasm of our co-workers and customers as soon as you enter the store.”
The retailer noted that it will be giving away thousands of dollars in gift cards and merchandise to its customers until 17 December at its new Grand Prairie store.
The company is also planning to begin construction works for its third store in the Dallas-Fort Worth area from next year and will be completed in 2019.
