Hilco Consumer-Retail (HCR), part of the Illinois US-based Hilco Global, completed the acquisition of Hanes Outlet and Maidenform bricks-and-mortar store operations on 27 July 2024.

The acquisition is set to leverage HCR’s innovative RevUp programme, which is central to the acquisition.

The focus is to improve the performance of bricks-and-mortar stores by enhancing both store teams’ and customers’ in-store experiences.

Customers can expect to see new developments shortly.

The RevUp programme, a collaboration between Restore for Retail’s virtual store management platform and more than three decades of retail operational expertise, places emphasis on the store teams and customers.

It enhances inventory turnover, increases sell-through, drives profitability, reduces costs and improves team morale and customer experience.

HCR is prioritising the retention of the existing Hanes Outlet and Maidenform store teams and is actively engaging with landlords to support the transition and ensure the longevity of the chain.

HCR will also create a new corporate and operational leadership.  Its members have already initiated contact with all store teams to facilitate a seamless transition.

HCR president and CEO Ian Fredericks said: “This transaction underscores Hilco Consumer-Retail’s commitment to forge long-term partnerships built on trust, transparency, strategic alignment and operational excellence. We are thrilled that Hanes selected us to continue their retail bricks-and-mortar operations, and we are excited to hit the ground running with the dedicated store teams to improve our customers’ experience.”
