US luxury retailer Gump’s San Francisco has announced it will re-open under new leadership after its closure in December last year.
The retailer said that it plans to re-open its digital and physical businesses in the fall of this year. The new store location is yet to be confirmed.
Gump’s San Francisco executive vice president Anne Chachas said: “We have been impressed by this brand for over a decade. Gump’s has a very special connection with its clients.
“We believe this iconic brand has a unique ability to curate an exceptional product that can once again delight clients for years to come.”
The Chachas family, started investing in the company in 2007 with financial investors. The family will now re-launch the Gump’s brand in North America and Europe.
The retailer filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August last year, following final liquidation sales on its official website and at its remaining storefront in San Francisco.
