Food delivery platform DoorDash has established a partnership with US home improvement chain Lowe’s, marking its first entry into this sector.
Lowe’s products are now available for purchase directly through the DoorDash app, facilitating same-day delivery.
The collaboration will enable delivery from 1,700 Lowe’s stores across the US, significantly expanding DoorDash’s offering.
DoorDash new verticals vice-president Fuad Hannon said: “We’re excited to welcome Lowe’s to DoorDash as our first national home improvement retailer.
“Our partnership enables consumers [to gain] quick access to must-have tools and last-minute materials to complete projects of all sizes. With Lowe’s in the marketplace, we add to the great selection of everyday essentials that consumers rely on for on-demand delivery on DoorDash.”
All participating Lowe’s stores will be integrated into DashPass, a subscription service of DoorDash that offers a zero delivery fee and lower service fee on eligible orders.
