US-based DICK’S Sporting Goods is set to open seven new stores, including its second ‘DICK’S House of Sport’ this month, continuing its expansion nationwide.
As part of this expansion, the retailer will unveil Dick’s House of Sport at West Town Mall in Knoxville, Tennessee on 4 June.
The new experiential store will feature a 24,000ft² outdoor turf field and running track, a rock-climbing wall, HitTrax technology equipped batting cage, golf hitting bays with TrackMan simulators and more.
The new store will also offer athletic and outdoor apparel brands, a wide range of footwear, gear for team sports, and advanced equipment for golf and fitness.
The second Dick’s House of Sport comes two months after the company debuted the store concept in Victor, New York.
In addition to this, Dick’s will unveil three Warehouse Sale stores, two newly redesigned Golf Galaxy locations, a relocated Dick’s Sporting Goods store, and in-store soccer shops.

By GlobalDataThe three Warehouse Sale stores will open on 16 June at Towne Center Prado, Kennesaw, Georgia, and Fenton Commons, Fenton, Missouri, and another one at The Commons, Knoxville, Tennessee, on 30 June.
Redesigned Golf Galaxy stores will sell apparel and footwear from brands such as Callaway, TaylorMade, PING, Titleist, Nike and Adidas.
Once completed, the retailer will operate a total of 731 namesake stores in 47 states and 98 Golf Galaxy stores in 35 states.
Dick’s will create approximately 450 full-time, part-time and temporary associate positions at the new stores.
Last month, the retailer reported strong first-quarter results for 2021 with 119% net sales growth to $2.92bn compared with the same period last year.
The company expects to open six new DICK’S Sporting Goods stores, eight speciality concept stores and relocate 11 stores this year.
