US-based CONTROLTEK, a provider of tamper-evident packaging and asset protection solutions, is set to introduce its Enhanced Exit RFID [radio frequency identification] solution at 2024’s national retail security event, NRF Protect, to be held from 4 to 6 June in Long Beach, California,

The Enhanced Exit RFID solution leverages RFID technology to monitor store exits, high-theft areas and restricted zones, offering retailers the ability to respond quickly to theft incidents.  

It provides real-time notifications, sending immediate alerts via email or SMS when items are taken from the store or moved into unauthorised areas such as employee-only zones or back-of-house exits. 

Retailers can customise the system’s dynamic alerting capabilities to receive notifications based on specific parameters, such as the movement of high-theft items or when multiple items exit the store simultaneously.
